FPDC =Front Post Double Crochet:
- Wrap the yarn over your crochet hook.
- From the front of your work, insert your hook to the right side of your next stitch.
- Bring it up on the left side of the stitch.
- Wrap the yarn over your crochet hook.
- Pull your yarn through. You will be pulling it behind the post of the previous double crochet. This will give you 3 loops on your hook.
- Complete your double crochet the same way that a double crochet is created.
- Wrap the yarn over your crochet hook.
- From the back of your work, insert your hook to the right side of your next stitch.
- Bring it up and around to the left side of the stitch inserting the hook to the back of your work.
- Wrap the yarn over your crochet hook.
- Pull your yarn through. You will be pulling it in front of the post of the previous double crochet. This will give you 3 loops on your hook.
- Complete your double crochet the same way that a double crochet is created.

4-Ply Worsted Weight Yarn
Abbreviations
FPDC = Front Post Double Crochet
BPDC = Back Post Double Crochet
CH = Chain
DC = Double Crochet
SL ST = Slip Stitch
Chain 22
Row 1: DC in the 2nd CH from the hook. 1 DC in ea of the next 19 CH's. (20 DC total) The first 2 Chains will not count as a stitch.
Row 2-15: CH 1, 1 FFDC around ea of the next 4 St's, 1 BPDC around ea of the next 4 St's, 1 FFDC around ea of the next 4 St's, 1 BPDC around ea of the next 4 St's, 1 FFDC around ea of the next 4 St's. The beginning post stitch will be completed around the Ch 1 and first FPDC.
This will create a complete a 6 inch by 6 inch square. You can continue on to create a scarf.
Rows 16-120: CH 1, 1 FFDC around ea of the next 4 St's, 1 BPDC around ea of the next 4 St's, 1 FFDC around ea of the next 4 St's, 1 BPDC around ea of the next 4 St's, 1 FFDC around ea of the next 4 St's. The beginning post stitch will be completed around the Ch 1 and first FPDC.
